小喜（金喜善 飾）的父親早逝，然而，這么多年過(guò)去了，善良單純的小喜卻一直相信著(zhù)，父親其實(shí)是去了火星，因此，每當想念父親之時(shí)，小喜都會(huì )寫(xiě)下寄往火星的信件，而回信的責任，便落在了小喜的青梅竹馬勝在（申河均 飾）的肩頭。 　　之后，小喜離開(kāi)了家鄉外出闖蕩，并且邂逅了本以為是一生摯愛(ài)的男子，可是，殘酷的生活帶給小喜的卻只有失去和傷痛，這讓小喜猛然醒悟，發(fā)現原來(lái)最?lèi)?ài)的人其實(shí)是一直對自己不離不棄默默陪伴的勝在。懷揣著(zhù)一顆傷痕累累的心，小喜終于在離家十七年之后重新回到了故鄉，然而，這一次勝在卻沒(méi)有等他，因為他已經(jīng)離開(kāi)了人世，前往了那個(gè)名叫“火星”的地方。
