老刑警朱光溪（趙德成 飾）在退休前夜，在一次抓捕搶劫犯包大郎（姚安廉 飾）兄弟倆過(guò)程中，擊斃了負隅頑抗的包二郎（王璐 飾），從此在郊外過(guò)起了隱居淡泊的退休生活。幾年后，包大郎越獄潛逃，在前女友阿珍（董炯 飾）家撞見(jiàn)阿珍現男友，話(huà)不投機撥刀相向，殺人后攜現金與攝像機逃離。他竄至學(xué)校綁架了朱光溪的外孫女珠珠（楊倩倩 飾），并把毆打珠珠的錄像帶轉至朱光溪手中。包大郎把爆炸裝置綁在珠珠身上，約朱在某茶樓面談。當地民警李長(cháng)福（毛永明 飾）從錄像中看出人質(zhì)的確切位置在廢塔樓，連忙奔去救人。按時(shí)赴約的朱光溪來(lái)到茶樓，發(fā)現包大郎手握遙控器，朱的部下陳自華（韋國春 飾）用對講悄悄告訴奔赴人質(zhì)現場(chǎng)的李長(cháng)福......

Abel去調查當地一間‘高檔’學(xué)校里一個(gè)男孩的死亡事件, 他尸體在河上被發(fā)現。學(xué)校高層恐懼會(huì )引起丑聞，堅持這只是一宗普通的自殺案。但Abel從男孩的女友處得知,他常常被人家欺負, Abel 懷疑一個(gè)危險的學(xué)生入會(huì )儀式搞砸了，于是他秘密地請求一位有同情心的老師Betsy來(lái)幫忙?？葾bel的上司警告他別再調查下去, 因為學(xué)校贊助警察慈善資金不少款項。Abel, 不能就此罷手, 不僅因為幾年前他的兄弟自殺了, 而且男孩的鬼魂好像給他們留下了線(xiàn)索，解釋當晚到底發(fā)生了什么事情。

《Qwerty》是一部關(guān)于孤獨的人的概念及其古怪事跡的電影。我用“人的概念”一詞來(lái)說(shuō)明導演比爾·塞巴斯蒂安和編劇朱麗葉·麥克丹尼爾試圖構建的那種類(lèi)型的電影。佐伊（達娜·普普金飾）和馬蒂（埃里克·海利飾）的定義很寬泛，為觀(guān)眾提供了兩個(gè)主角，除了他們獨立靈感的怪癖之外，他們并沒(méi)有太多深度。就像最近廣受好評的《安全沒(méi)有保障》一樣，《Qwerty》的角色和結構未能引起共鳴，只不過(guò)是一部半生不熟的圣丹斯電影節圖片的大雜燴。

　　A quick glimpse at the cast for this film would make any horror fan giddy with glee. The actual movie doesn't live up to those high expectations, but it's far from being all bad. Desi Arnaz Jr. (!) plays an author who makes a crazy $20,000 bet with his publisher that he could write a great novel in only 24 hours. To do so, the publisher gives him the keys to an old abandoned house where he won't be disturbed. Not true. Once he gets there he is interrupted by a multitude of guests including a family which consists of John Carradine, Sheila Keith, Peter Cushing and Vincent Price. They are gathered there in a twisted family reunion to release their brother from the room he's been imprisoned in for forty years. Even Christopher Lee drops by as Corrigan, the man who has just purchased the house. Soon, they realize that the caged brother is loose and out for revenge.
　　What a great plotline and what a dream cast! This movie should have been a hell of a lot better. It's hard to pinpoint the exact problems with the film, but I would venture to say that the lack of lighting was a major fault. Sure the house has no electricity but I think they took the title of the movie a little too literally. Scenes after scenes are barely visible and the actors' faces are undecipherable. Only the moments in the main dinning hall are well lit. Also, the great actors are given very little to do. Cushing gets a few chuckles as the scared brother but Price, Lee and especially Carradine are somewhat wasted here. Well, at least Price gets the best line of the film: `Please don't interrupt me while I am soliloquizing.' And on the plus side, the story has enough twists and turns throughout to keep one`s interest and the ending, while a bit of a cop-out, manages to surprise.
